Woman in a hat with a snow mountain

She lives on a snow mountain. Not once since she was born did she leave the mountain. Already it is the middle of winter and although the sky is clear, she knows that snow is coming. Life here is not easy to endure. She waits for the snow, patiently. : Inspiration for the woman came from Bolivian tribeswoman and their traditional outfits and for the mountain from Game Creek, Jackson, Wyoming. When I started this painting, I wanted something simple but bold. I thought the view of Jackson Hole in winter would match well with a Bolivian tribeswoman portrait. I really like how it turned out and enjoyed painting the snowy mountain.
